Deep Dive

Batch Quick Screen (BQS)

Once enabled for a location, Symplast automatically submits upcoming scheduled patients to CareCredit ahead of their appointment — no manual lookup required. Results are returned as one of three outcomes: pre-approved up to a specific dollar amount, existing cardholder (with available credit shown when returned), or no pre-approval on file. Every result appears directly on Appointment Details along with the date it was checked, so staff always know how current the information is. This is a soft inquiry and does not affect the patient's credit score.

Configurable BQS Settings

Administrators enable Batch Quick Screen per location in Admin Settings > CareCredit Card Settings, alongside the practice's existing CareCredit setup. Two settings control how screening runs at each location: the BQS Pre-Approval Amount, which is the estimated service amount patients are screened against, and Submit X Days in Advance, which controls how far ahead of the appointment patients are submitted. Both can be tuned independently for each location.

In-App Offer Actions

For patients who come back pre-approved, staff can act on the offer directly from Appointment Details. If the patient is present, Customer Accepts opens the application wizard so the application can be completed and paid during the same visit. If the patient prefers to complete it on their own time, Send Offer to Customer texts a personalized link to their phone — after the required SMS consent disclosure is read and confirmed. If the patient isn't interested, Customer Declines closes out the offer.

CareCredit Status Report

Every CareCredit report your team needs is now available without leaving Symplast or logging into a separate CareCredit portal. From Reports & Exports > Financial, select CareCredit Status Report and choose a location to access four report types: Recent Applications (completed in the last 60 days), Recent Purchase Transactions (completed in the last 60 days), Pending Patient/Client Activity (started but not yet completed in the last 7 days), and the Quickscreen Report (60 days of screening history, including checks submitted by patients on their own device).

Enabled BQS Locations Visibility

Administrators managing CareCredit across multiple locations can now see a running count of how many locations have Batch Quick Screen enabled, making it easier to track rollout progress across a multi-location practice.
